![]() ![]() My hopes aren't high, but I was wondering if someone here was using a JetBrains IDE on KDE and can confirm or deny whether it also has this blurriness issue?Įdit: I know this is more of a KDE Wayland scaling question in general rather than an Asahi question, but the reason I haven't posted this on r/kde instead is that perhaps there's something about the GPU driver supporting some GPU features while not others, and anyway I wanted to go absolutely sure so that I don't re-install with KDE for nothing.Įdit 2: This is with asahi-next and mesa-next enabled.įor those of us who work under windows, I thought it would be useful to have some fresh news on the state of PHP Windows IDEs -besides the usual suspects: VS Code (free) and PHP Storm (paid)- from people that actually uses them. But I've read somewhere that KDE handles scaling on Wayland quite differently, which is also the reason it can offer 150% scaling while GNOME can only do steps of 100. There are countless of reports about this on YouTrack (JetBrains' bug tracker). ![]() With scaling set to 200%, the IDE is blurry and text is hard to read, which is incredibly distracting while working: As is well-known, Java-based UIs don't integrate well with Linux and this is no exception. I'm using a JetBrains IDE on Asahi with GNOME on Wayland. First off, if anybody from the Asahi team reads this, many thanks for your amazing work. ![]()
